High-Speed Internet Set to Reach Remote Gujarat as Letter of Intent Signed with Starlink

The Gujarat government has signed a Letter of Intent with Starlink to expand high-speed satellite internet access to remote, border, and underserved regions of the state. Formalized in Gandhinagar in the presence of the chief minister and deputy chief minister, the partnership is part of Gujarat’s broader Digital Connectivity Mission aimed at strengthening digital infrastructure. A Joint Working Group comprising representatives from both the state government and Starlink will be set up to oversee and ensure effective implementation of the initiative. 

The Gujarat government has signed a letter of intent with Starlink to collaborate on delivering high-speed satellite internet to remote, border, and underserved areas of the state. The Letter of Intent was formalized at a ceremony in Gandhinagar, attended by the chief minister and deputy chief minister of Gujarat.

The partnership aims to bring reliable, high-speed satellite connectivity to regions that currently face limited or inadequate telecom infrastructure. According to the official statement, this initiative is part of the state’s broader Digital Connectivity Mission and other key strategic programs to enhance digital access.

To ensure smooth implementation, a Joint Working Group comprising officials from the Gujarat government and Starlink will be established, the statement added, to oversee and coordinate the execution of the Letter of Intent effectively.
