Vodafone Idea Expands 5G Network with Launch in Hyderabad

Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has introduced its 5G network services in Hyderabad as part of its ongoing expansion strategy focused on high-demand urban and commercial markets. Recognised as a leading technology and innovation centre, Hyderabad has emerged as an important market for advanced connectivity due to its growing population, strong presence of IT companies, startups, enterprises, and digitally active consumers.

To support increasing data usage and heavy urban network traffic, Vi has strengthened its infrastructure in the city by deploying 5G services across major business zones, IT hubs, and densely populated residential locations. Through this rollout, customers are expected to benefit from faster mobile internet speeds, reduced latency, and improved network reliability across commercial districts and high-traffic areas.

Commenting on the launch, Vi’s Business Head for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana said that introducing Vi 5G in Hyderabad represents an important milestone in the company’s expansion plans. He noted that Hyderabad’s position as a hub for global technology firms, innovation centres, and global capability centres makes it a strategically important market for next-generation digital connectivity. He added that Vi remains focused on expanding its 5G coverage in phases while enhancing network performance to meet evolving consumer requirements.
