The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has instructed telecom companies to speed up the expansion of mobile network infrastructure across the state, giving special emphasis to improving connectivity in remote and underserved regions.

At a review meeting with representatives of leading telecom operators, officials informed the Chief Minister that Andhra Pradesh currently has 30,694 mobile towers, with an estimated 2,310 additional towers required to ensure complete network coverage across the state.

Emphasising the government’s commitment to improving communication infrastructure, the Chief Minister stated that extending reliable mobile connectivity to the last mile, including the most remote villages, remains a key priority.

He assured telecom service providers of the state’s assistance in facilitating tower installations and encouraged them to assess the feasibility of completing the planned rollout within 100 days.
