The latest SpeedGeo Network Reports released by V-SPEED for the period from Q3 2025 to Q2 2026 place Reliance Jio at the top of India’s mobile internet speed rankings, while ACT Fibernet leads the broadband segment. The findings are based on analysis of more than 608,000 speed tests carried out nationwide.

The report highlights distinct leaders across the mobile and fixed broadband categories. Reliance Jio was ranked as the country’s fastest mobile operator, whereas ACT Fibernet delivered the strongest broadband performance during the reporting period.

Jio Tops Mobile Speed Rankings

According to the Mobile Network Report, Reliance Jio achieved an average download speed of 122.7 Mbps, ahead of Airtel, which recorded 86.0 Mbps, and Vodafone Idea, which registered 33.0 Mbps.

Although Jio led download performance, Airtel recorded the highest average upload speed at 14.0 Mbps, compared with 11.2 Mbps for Jio and 9.2 Mbps for Vodafone Idea. Airtel also delivered the lowest average latency of 64.3 ms, followed by Jio at 68.5 ms, while Vodafone Idea recorded 87.6 ms.

These mobile rankings were derived from 59,555 speed tests conducted on smartphones and tablets between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026, with operators ranked mainly on their average download speeds.

ACT Fibernet Leads Broadband Performance

In the broadband segment, ACT Fibernet secured the highest average download speed at 121.2 Mbps. BSNL occupied the second position with 68.5 Mbps, while Airtel followed with 62.3 Mbps.

ACT also outperformed competitors in upload performance, posting an average upload speed of 112.5 Mbps, compared with 62.2 Mbps for BSNL and 45.9 Mbps for Airtel. The company additionally delivered the lowest latency at 22.7 ms, while BSNL and Airtel recorded 37.2 ms and 43.3 ms, respectively.

The broadband rankings were based on 548,875 speed tests performed over fixed broadband and Wi-Fi-connected mobile broadband networks during the same period.

Methodology Behind the Rankings

V-SPEED stated that the results were generated using data collected through its SpeedGeo platform across Android, iOS, and web-based applications. Only operators representing more than 3% of the total tests within a category were considered for inclusion.

Before the rankings were finalised, all measurements were subjected to fraud detection and data validation processes to eliminate duplicate or irregular results. The final standings were then determined primarily by comparing each operator’s average download speed.
