Modi Promotes India as a Global AI Destination at Worldwide Summit

Speaking on Thursday, the Indian Prime Minister described the country as a key contributor to the worldwide AI landscape, stating that India intends to develop advanced technologies within its borders and deploy them internationally.

“Design and develop in India. Deliver to the world. Deliver to humanity,” Modi said while addressing an audience of global leaders, technology executives, and policymakers at the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi.

His comments come at a time when India — among the world’s fastest-expanding digital markets — is looking to capitalize on its track record in establishing large-scale digital public infrastructure and to position itself as an affordable destination for AI innovation.
