Summary:
OneOTT Intertainment Limited, the broadband arm of Hinduja Global Solutions Limited and part of the Hinduja Group, has signed an MoU with the State Transformation Commission to implement the Government Assisted Network for Growth and Advancement (GANGA) project in Uttar Pradesh. The initiative aims to expand digital inclusion by enabling 8,000–10,000 local entrepreneurs to operate as digital service providers delivering high-speed broadband across the state. Over the next two to three years, the programme is expected to connect more than two million households, create over 100,000 jobs, and support the government’s efforts to strengthen digital access to education, healthcare and public services.

OneOTT Intertainment Limited (OIL), the broadband arm of Hinduja Global Solutions Limited and part of the Hinduja Group, has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the State Transformation Commission under the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The agreement supports the rollout of the Government Assisted Network for Growth and Advancement (GANGA) project, a large-scale initiative aimed at promoting digital inclusion across the state.

Project GANGA is designed to empower young people by enabling around 8,000–10,000 local entrepreneurs at the nyaya panchayat level to function as independent digital service providers (DSPs). These providers will deliver high-speed broadband connectivity throughout Uttar Pradesh. Over the next two to three years, the initiative aims to connect more than two million households while creating both direct and indirect employment opportunities for over 100,000 individuals. The programme is also expected to include a substantial number of women entrepreneurs and will support the government’s efforts to expand digital education and healthcare services. DSPs participating in the initiative will receive structured assistance, including training, financial support, network deployment and access to technology.

Commenting on the partnership, the chief executive officer (CEO) of the State Transformation Commission stated that Project GANGA represents an important move toward strengthening inclusive digital infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh. The initiative aligns with the state government’s digital vision of improving access to digital education, healthcare and public services, while also enabling micro, small and medium enterprises to benefit from dependable high-speed connectivity. By supporting local entrepreneurs, the programme aims to enhance service delivery and ensure affordable digital access for underserved communities.

Meanwhile, the whole-time director of HGS and managing director and CEO of OIL said the project demonstrates the organisation’s long-term commitment to expanding digital connectivity and creating economic opportunities on a large scale. He noted that by combining the government’s digital vision with OIL’s operational expertise, the partnership aims to extend broadband access while generating sustainable livelihoods through entrepreneurship. Project GANGA has been structured as a multi-year initiative that focuses on onboarding entrepreneurs, deploying network infrastructure and developing a skilled workforce.
